One of our guys told us that this action center was not nearly as well visited as the one we’d been going to because it was way off from everything else. We went air rifle shooting, did some BMX stunt riding, and went up to Action Alley, which is a military style obstacle course that we got to run through. It was pretty intense.

After a two-hour wait in line we got into the Action Alley. We realized that only seven of us would be able to go in, so James, James, and Kody went to scuba. The rest of us got started with the course. At first both Henrik and Gerrit were very scared of some of the structures and obstacles in the course, mostly because it was very high, but our troop had learned spotting and were able to help them overcome their fear and join in the fun. By the end, which included a giant ladder climb and a really great zip line, they had built up their confidence and were no longer scared of the heights. It was really neat to be able to work together as guys from the same troop to help each other overcome all obstacles.
The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-21911877580569843912010-08-06T10:55:00.000-07:002010-08-06T10:56:25.377-07:00To Adam's Mom
Yeah today is the last day!
The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-43423742270369169082010-08-06T10:54:00.002-07:002010-08-06T10:55:21.122-07:00To Austin G.'s Mom
See you soon.
The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-40761913734174713382010-08-06T10:54:00.001-07:002010-08-06T10:54:46.939-07:00To Daniel H.'s Mom
I’m so tired I could eat a horse.
The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-26911088519761186072010-08-06T10:53:00.001-07:002010-08-06T10:53:58.734-07:00To Joe's Mom
I’ve had a blast and taken 3000 pictures! There was so much to do there, so many roller coasters, water rides, and 4d movies. The main roller coaster was called the Griffin. It went up like 200 ft and the dropped straight down, it was so cool. They had 4d movies, like Sesame Street and a flight called Europe in air. In Sesame Street our imagination was put to the test, and in Europe in air it was like we were flying around the world. After all the fun, around dinner time we had a Storm come in and we had to leave early like around 9:00, because all the rides closed down. So, we made our way to the hotel cold and wet, but filled great memories! The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-4030796715210261382010-08-04T18:52:00.000-07:002010-08-05T05:59:54.992-07:00Leaving the JamboreeWe got on a bus after a wicked rain storm at 3:00 a.m. At 9:30 the bus arrived. We were on the bus for like 3 hours and then stopped for lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise, by now the rain stopped! Then, we got on the bus and headed to a laundramat. After our laundry was done, we got on the bus and went to our hotel, which was only a mile away! We hung around the hotel until bed time. We are all excited for Busch Gardens tomorrow and for a nice bed to sleep in!The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-70714452564926227002010-08-04T03:35:00.000-07:002010-08-04T03:46:11.196-07:00To Mike's readers.Hey everyone! I've had so much fun at Jamboree, I don't know where to start. I went climbing and rappelling, worked on and earned a few merit badges, did a couple of obstacle courses, and earned all but one of the six patch rockers. It's been fun. I got to sing on the radio with Danny and James and a few other guys from other troops. We sounded really good for only having rehearsed for an hour the night before. We sang A Capella arrangements of "On My Honor", and "Rise Up, Oh Men of God". Then we were asked to sing them again for a fireside Sunday night. Oh! And Elder Robert D. Hales spoke on Sunday morning about being strong in our priesthood, being prepared, and the importance of the Sacrament. It was really neat. Anyway, it's raining now and I have to go help get everything un-wet.

Mike, the Awesome Quartermaster DudeThe Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-19138131536330802292010-08-04T03:28:00.000-07:002010-08-04T03:34:37.849-07:00SAVE ME!dear mom/fam.

I NEED A HUG!!! we have had a lot of fun at the jamboree. Then we set up our cots and such out under the stars. Until about 3:45 in the morning when they came and woke us up to get us to cover because there was a lightning storm. And so now we are sitting with a lot of other scouts crammed into a large tent. To make manners worst, the rain is coming through the tent and now parts have become full of water. All I know is I cant wait for it to stop raining!

Gerrit G.

photos by Hank
The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-2110928933811844422010-08-03T15:06:00.000-07:002010-08-03T15:07:40.695-07:00Day 9 JamboreeToday was our last day at the jamboree. We got free time until 12:00! Eighteen of the boys went to something called The Misterium Compass. It was an activity that goes through rooms and we did challenges as a team to get certain pieces to complete a fleur de lis(The Boy Scout Emblem)! It was really cool and we learned a lot. Then, after 12:00, we had to put down camp and pack it in the semi-trucks. That was tiring but still, in a way, kinda fun. Then we got to sleep under the stars, with no tents. That was not so bad. We all had a great time at the Jamboree and we are excited for Bush Gardens! The Scribehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485954730065296765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6266673252318050914.post-10824482237059513102010-08-03T14:04:00.000-07:002010-08-03T14:07:59.640-07:00By JaromMom, Today we tore down part of the camp.
